- Your upgraded E99 ECM can only be tuned by the OBDII port with an MPVI3 and the latest version of VCM Suite (BETA) (Any MPVI2+ or older generation devices are not compatible with any global b vehicle)

- While the stock ECM is being upgraded at HP Tuners headquarters, a (SPARE) ECM cannot temporarily replace and re-learned in the vehicle, otherwise the stock ECM (being serviced at HP Tuners) will no longer be compatible with the vehicle.

- Once the E99 ECM has been upgraded, users are required 8 universal credits (bought separately) to license there ECM.

- Upon installing your newly upgraded E99 ECM, we recommend connecting to the VCM Scanner to clear all read/codes and DTC's

- No other tuning or calibration tools are required for the ECM

- VCM scanner, dealer diagnostic, and other diagnostic tools will continue to work

- The latest version of VCM Suite can be used to return calibration or update the latest stock calibration

- There is no need for an IMMO relearn, crank relearn, or the “Replace ECM” function as long as the ECM returns to the same vehicle it came from.

Step 1: Once you have a MPVI3 interface and confirmed your vehicle is supported, purchase this upgrade.

- If your are new to HPtuners, purchase an MPVI3 interface here

- If you are using and older version then MPVI3, upgrade here

Step 2: After purchasing the necessary parts, see the "shipping" tab for shipping form with address. Fill this out, print, and then place into your shipping box. You will also receive an email with a shipping form and details.

Step 3: Remove the ECM from your vehicle and safely package it with your shipping form. *While the stock ECM is being serviced, a spare cannot ECM cannot be temporarily used or else the stock (now upgraded) is incompatible with the vehicle*

Step 4: Right your order number on the package that contains your ECM and shipping form.

Step 5: Ship your ECM to HPtuners (your choice of carrier). the shipping address can be found on the "shipping" tab or the shipping form (step 2). Customer is responsible for all shipping costs.

Step 6: HP Tuners will upgrade your ECM for tuning and engine diagnostics. Once completed, we will ship it back to you.

Step 7: Once you receive your upgraded ECM, install it back into your vehicle with (8) Universal Credits (sold separately). Once licensed, connect to the latest version of VCM Scanner and read/clear DTC's. Then, start tuning with your MPVI3 interface and the latest version of VCM Suite (BETA).

- These ECM/PCM/TCM services are completed at the owner’s risk. HP Tuners will not be responsible for the vehicle, its powertrain, or electronics, nor how the control module is used, calibrated, and its functionality.

- Due to the factory location of the ECM in the vehicle, all ECMs will exhibit signs of weathering and wear, which is completely normal.
